Privacy in plain English

This page explains what information Growth Done Differently (“we”, “us”) collects through growthdonedifferently.com, what we do with it, who else sees it, and the choices and rights you have. We’ve kept it as short and plain as we can.

The short version

• We only collect what you choose to send us: through the contact form, by email or by phone.
• Google Analytics, which uses cookies, is switched off unless you press Accept on the cookie banner. You can change your mind any time.
• No advertising trackers or social media pixels.
• We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it for advertising.

What we collect

When you use the contact form: your name, your business name, your phone number, your message and, if you choose to give it, the best time to call. The form also records which page you came from, so we know what you were interested in.

When you email or call us: whatever you tell us, plus your email address or phone number.

Visit data, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages viewed, how long you stayed, the type of device and browser, your approximate location (city level) and how you found us. Google Analytics also receives your IP address, which it uses to work out your approximate location and does not store in full.

Technical data: the company that hosts this site, Cloudflare, handles standard request data such as your IP address and browser type so the site loads and stays secure. We don’t use it to identify you.

We don’t ask for payment details on this site.

How we use it, and why we’re allowed to

• To reply to you, prepare the free review of your Google listing and website that we offer before a first call, and keep an accurate record of our conversations. This is because you asked us to, and it’s in our legitimate interest to run our business.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it. This is based on your consent, which you give by pressing Accept on the cookie banner.
• To keep the site secure. This is in our legitimate interest.

We don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Who else sees it

These companies process information for us:

• Formspree delivers contact form messages to our email.
• Cloudflare hosts the site.
• Google provides Google Analytics, but only if you accept analytics cookies.

None of them is allowed to use your details for their own marketing. Google handles analytics data under its own terms, which you can read through the link above. These companies may process information in the United States and other countries. We may also share information if the law requires us to.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, a cookie banner asks whether we may use Google Analytics. Until you press Accept, nothing from Google loads and no analytics cookies are set. If you press Decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a no and don’t ask again.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets these cookies:

• _ga (2 years): gives your browser a random ID so repeat visits can be counted together.
• _ga_G-548HVKGBMP (2 years): remembers the state of your current visit.

We have turned off Google’s advertising features and personalized ads for this site. Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted. Nothing else on this site sets cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage for 12 months, after which we ask again.

To change your choice at any time, press Cookie settings here or in the footer of any page. Declining after you have accepted removes the Google Analytics cookies we set. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

How long we keep it

We keep an inquiry for as long as it’s useful for following up or for keeping an accurate record of our work together. If you ask us to delete yours, we will. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@growthdonedifferently.com or call 260-668-6804 and a person will deal with it, normally within 30 days.

If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to restrict or object to how we use your information, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, to withdraw consent at any time (use Cookie settings), and to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you’re in California or another US state with a privacy law, you can ask to know what personal information we have collected, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We don’t sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal.

Children

Our services are for businesses. This site isn’t aimed at children and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects cookies, we’ll ask for your choice again.
